Animosity

Because I'm a lazy wench and not very festive I shall take this opportunity to collectively wish all my readers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

There, that's that out of the way.

I've often wondered what it would be to have a meeting. A meeting with everyone who ever read this blog, and decided to stay with me as I chart the peaks and troughs of each wave of my life. Some of you I have met, of course, whilst others are the stuff of pictures and Facebook profiles.

I wonder whether we'd get along in 'real life'. I wonder whether we'd like each other. I've wondered where we would meet and what we would do. Would we talk or stand/sit embarrassed that this group of strangers, with whom we've shared our lives, are right here with us?

Just a thought for the New Year

PS - great article on Saturday Paul

Hi yes it was a great article wasn't it...? when will they publish online?
Shame I missed the programme.. but that aside..

I wonder too...though I think it would be lovely to meet people I have only had a glimpse of...

however perhaps the internet lets us reveal things we can't express so openly - even though as you have already said, it's not nearly as private as we'd like to think..

Then again I don't comment on people's blogs who I don't instinctively like...

Hey Niki

I think I'd just get a bit weepy and give you a big hug and chat away to you like I'd always known you. Be lovely to all meet up one day...

I have thought about this a lot....and have actually thought about writing a story on a reunion of sorts. We are all so different in our lives.....and our ages range quite a bit. Blogging is a great leveller for some of that stuff.......the kind of blogs and bloggers I'm interested in connecting with anyways. Dont know about political blogs and such. But when one uses this forum to reflect and share personal vulnerabilities and thoughts, it doesnt matter who you are, or how old you are, or where you're at in your journey.

Spiritual journeys are like that.....it doesn't matter how the journey is displayed...through prose, contemplation, poetry....through sharing scars and wounds.......it doesnt matter because underneath who we are and how we express it, we are all the same where it counts....in our hearts and in our souls. Our differences don't matter.

I would love to meet with you Niki.....and Julie and Katie.....and all of the beautiful people I have met in this virtual reality. I suggest that we all meet at a local pub, and then journey to a hideaway cabin big enough for any and many......It should have a wonderful fieldstone fireplace, a big kitchen for making shared meals, a music system which fills the air.....and lots of little comfie nooks where two or three can wander off to talk.

hows that?

Hi guys, sorry illness and moving flat caused an absence on my part.
I'm back in Hull now.
It'd be great to actually get a meeting sorted some day - just for fun.
