Patriotism

I like to think of my school as a little community or country, we are only 1000 strong but we wear our uniforms (us year 11's with a homemade twist usually) and also the point of this little paragraph, tomorrow is our Annual Open Evening, we volunteer ourselves to come into school, in the evening and allow little year 6's look around and decide whether they should take the 11+ and join our community. I am such a sad, i mean patriotic person. I am going in at 6:30 until 8:00, I am giving up my gym session to play in windband with my lil' old Clarinet, those year 6's better damn well appreciate it, thats all i can say.

So how are you all? I have just got this going after a period of absence, the blogger wouldn't work. I am no longer employed, yep out of work and very soon, money. I want to go for the upcoming receptionist job, it pays well, but until then I am thinking a waitress, the advert for jobs goes: 'Only smiley, positive, energetic and kinda crazy people need apply' I mean wow! was this job made for me? The fact that I can get into trouble faster than you can say 'ow' is no longer important, I can be clumsy but with an ad like that, how can I refuse?

I have replied on my previous post so check that out 'cos I haven't got time to move it up to this post, oh and if you want to see some pictures of guernsey go to www.guernsey-press.com there is a link to island scenes.

Keep living Nikita

Ps. a girl at my school, who i did dofe with is called Eilidh (air-lee)

patriotism is more than silly, it's dangerous and silly too. still, i think patriotism in this sense can't do to much harm. better watch out niki, were the patriot police: anyone caught showing severe degrees of patriotism shall be, uh, shall be strictly spoken too. you have been warned...

hmmm, well we all suffer form a bit of patriotism at some point in our lives. i helped at our school open evening from 4 till 9.30, a long long long time. still, i got a free meal voucher for it! and the joy of seein the new yr7's decide whether to take the 11+. Ahhh well. Nice to see a new post!
go for the job, i mean you cant relly lose out on it, you just look for anohter one if you get the waitress! However, its usually not very nice at all. i sometimes gret roped in to work in our restaurant, and its not nice AT ALL. oh well. Each to their own.
well, long post. cya soon!

Only 1000 people? Wow, that's less than the number of pupils in my school! Hell, I live in a village, and even that's got about 14000 folk (don't quote me on that).

You have really imaginative parents down there! It's great! I personally love patriotism, mostly to piss off Keir and Dave...

Oh and the job thing must really suck. How about this job - you can actually have a career in naming hurricanes. Dude.

your village is kinda big, guernsey is 60,000, the open evening was ok, not too bad. sometimes i think patriotism is stupid, sometimes its cool. today i called about the waitress job and 'the position has been filled' ah well back to a dull receptionist. yey it's friday tomorrow!!!!! and i don't have to go to work!!
naming hurricanes sounds like fun, although i might get a little bit carried away. i had badminton in sport today, you know it's not that bad, nothing compared to sailing but for what it is, it's ok, ah well french beckons... 'beckon, beckon, beckon'
keep living (and dreaming)

very bad news, we in guernsey are on the receiving end of that hurricane thingamybob. that means, horror of horrors, that my jersey trip is cancelled. yep it's the end of the world, the end of the world. i will have to go next week, and my friend, saffron, can't come next week which means just me, my dad and my sister. my dad is a pretty cool guy, you'd like him but my sister?? i'd rather be strangled, really! i will have to save my meagre earnings for another whole week, get through another whole week of school. i'm not feeling too happy but still encourage you to:
Keep happy CL

Well that kinda sucks. Oh well, here's a useless fact. Hurricanes are named in a boy/girl/boy/girl fashion and going down the alphabet. So in a year, hurricanes are named sorta like this: Albert; Betsy; Charlie; Desdemona. Just thought you'd like to know...
